Tanger Med: Global Hub for International Growth

    Enhancing international trade

Tanger Med is a global logistics gateway in the Strait of Gibraltar. It is not only based in the world’s second trade crossing point, it is also an integrated platform that enhances international trade, through a maritime, industrial and logistics platform.

#2 Best special economic zone in the world and 24th container port globally, Tanger Med was created as part of Morocco’s macro-economic growth: it is an innovation model for regional development. Located north of the country, it is based on 3 pillars that nurture its success and form a solid economic environment: stability of the economic & diplomatic situation, attractiveness for investment and quality of Morocco’s infrastructure.

Tanger Med industrial port complex is an achievement of a Royal Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI: “We are launching one of the largest economic projects in the history of our country. This is the new Tanger Med port that we consider as the core of a large port, logistics, industrial, commercial and touristic complex”. (From the speech February 2003)
